In 1768, a John GETTERT was named as a Deacon for the First Reformed Church of Easton. This is very likely the same name as "Johannes GOTTHARDT" and "John GODHARD/GODDARD," as evidenced by his name variations in various deeds and his will. Taken from The First Reformed Church of Easton, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, records as recorded in "Some of the First Settlers of the Forks of the Delaware and Their Descendants" (see title page image).
