LAUBACH Land: 1792 Survey Map

LAUBACH Land: 1792 Survey Map
Map included in the 1792 survey for Johann George LAUBACH's land warrant for property situated on the Little Fishing Creek, being in Fishing Creek and Mahoning Townships of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, at that time. Today, the land is located in Columbia County, PA, along Route 42 between the Bloomsburg and Buckhorn areas. Johann George LAUBACH died before the patent was granted to his son and executor, Adam LAUBACH, in 1802. This appears to be the same land that George's other son, Johann "Christian" & Anna Maria (FRUTCHEY) LAUBACH were already living on in the late 1700's, and where Anna Maria's grandfather, John GODHARD, died in 1797. Shortly after John GODHARD died, Christian and Anna Maria LAUBACH moved their extended family north-eastward to the Fishing Creek/Sugarloaf Township area, near the present town of Benton, Columbia County, PA.
