The Mahers and Trettins of Northwest Ohio

Updated May 11, 2010

I am researching the Maher/Meagher family from Tipperary, Ireland. Rody Maher first appears in the 1860 census in Boone Co., Indiana, but I don't know where he was before that. He married Mary Guy Smith in 1857 and they had two daughters: Mary, Ellen and six sons: Edward, John, Roger, Michael, Joseph, Thomas.

In addition, I'm researching the Trettin family of Ohio. Wilhelm Leo Trettin was born in Germany November 27, 1864 and came to the U.S. in the 1890's. He married Amelia Lange October 2, 1868 and they eventually had five sons, Paul (my grandfather), William, Otto, Bernard and Felix, plus two daughters, Anna and Gertrude.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
