Updated December 27, 2004

I am a 10th generation descendant of Isaac Pasquier (Paquet) dit Lavallee, a soldier sent to the "New World" from France in 1665 as a member of the Carignan regiment. The most difficult genealogical connection to make was the generation that emigrated from Canada to the U.S. (Vermont in my case) in the late 1800's.
This research would not have been possible without the help of the American Canadian Genealogical Society; it's library (and dedicated "volunteer" staff). Much has also come from several newly found "cousins", and some from FTM CDs - an excellent resource.

Having found my "roots" my goal has now changed. I am creating a tree to include all of Isaac's descendants. I enjoy finding new cousins as well! Had I known the scope of this project when I started, I probably would not have! If you are also a descendant of Isaac (or think you could be) I would love to hear from you! I have already added many branches from newly found cousins, and I'm working on several more. The more branches that get added, the easier it becomes to tie in. PLEASE help the "Descendants of Isaac Paquet dit LaVallee" continue to grow by sending me "your" branch. Any queries on "your" branch will be referred to you, and NO information will be displayed on live individuals without your express specific permission! I would also be happy to share the complete file with any "relatives"! I welcome any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help!
