I have off and on for the past several years, attempted to trace our family history. My name is Samantha Olivia Link- LaVoie. I am the daughter of Sam Link, Jr., the granddaughter of Sam Link Sr., and the great - granddaughter of Charlie Link.
I have used historical records including, censuses, birth, death, social security, marriages, and several other sources to rebuild our history. I take full responsibility for any mistakes, spelling errors, and/or omissions in our family tree. This is in no way completed, it’s just what I have done so far. As I receive new information from people I will update it and send an updated copy to anyone interested.
The family tree program I use doesn’t allow you to enter children without a spouse. Therefore, there are a lot of relationships that are stated to be marriages, when in fact they only gave birth to a child together. The program also formats everything for you, that is why in some places the language is strange.
I am missing a lot of information and I know there are mistakes. I would appreciate it if you could either call me, write me, or email me to assist me with the family tree. I want to make sure as many people as possible are on there. If anyone has any family photographs. I would appreciate it if I could receive a copy to include it.
I am pretty sure of all of the people and events that were dated before 1900 because I was able to verify it through several sources.
