All my ancestors and relatives are British. I am interested in finding Lawrences who migrated to America in what my grandfather called "the first great migration". Apparantly a large number of the family migrated at that time. They hailed from Okeford Fitzpayne Dorset in the south-west of England as far as I know and were probably farm workers. Other names associated with us around 1800 were Witteridge and Roberts. I am willing to share any information I have with interested parties.
