His wife, Elizabeth Morse, was a sister of his brother, Nathaniel's wife Sarah.

The Lineage Book of the National Society of Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America Vol XVII - 1928 - p. 95 & VOL XXXI -1958 - p. 218 show Peleg's birth date as 10, January 1647/1648. The Lineage Book of National Society .... Vol VI - 1916 shows birth date of 11 November 1647.

Lawrence, Peleg, 1646-1692, Groton, Mass. Served in a Garrison House during trouble with the Indians, King Philip's War.

Growing in-line library, genealogy library.com, "Electronic," New England Families Genealogical and Memorial: third Series, Vol IV, 1998, " He lived in Concord during the period that Groton was abandoned during King Philip's War, but returned to his former at Groton afterward. He was selectman for two years and held various other offices, He lived on the farm now or lately owned by Samuel B. Marshall, on the Boston road."

Two other of John's sons, Peleg and Enosh lived at Groton and had families.

John Lawrence, Gen. Memoirs of the Family of John Lawrence of Watertown (1847, 1857 & 1876), pg 19, 1847 ver, In the Inventory of 1695 Daniel and Susanna are named as children of Peleg Lawrence. He died in Groton, 1692, aged 45 years.

He married (1) SARAH MORSE 13 Mar 1660/61 in Sudbury, Middlesex, MA82, daughter of JOSEPH MORSE and HANNAH PHILLIPS. She was born 16 Jul 164383, and died 29 Aug 168184,85. He married (2) HANNAH(ANNA)86 Bef. 1683. She died Aft. 14 Jan 1700/01. He married (3) SARAH 31 Oct 169587.

EACON NATHANIEL LAWRENCE:
According to Daughters of the American Colonists Lineage Book Vol1 page 365, Nathaniel Lawrence (1639-1724) was ensign of militia and member of the General Court, 1692. He died in Groton, Ma.

adm. freeman 15, May 1672

American Ancestry has death in Lexington and LDS has Stoneham.

Moved in advanced years to Charlestown Farms.

Nathaniel was an original proprieter of Groton having a ten-acre right. He held various offices in the church and town, and was one of the first representatives to the General Court, under the charter of William and Mary, in the year 1693. Three of his grandsons, Thomas, William and Amos, came from Lexington to Groton to live.
