* Jim and Betty Lawrence Family Home Page*

Updated October 12, 2003

My wife, Betty Swindell Lawrence, is seeking information on Diana PIERCE who was a native of Fayette County, Ohio, born about 1815. She married Joseph E. BRANSCOMB in Fayette County in February 1835. She and Joseph BRANSCOMB had 8 children: Benjamin, Virginia, William, Thomas, Eliza, Martha, Rachel, Joseph Jr., Emma and Charles. After Joseph's death in 1865, she married William Addington and passed away in Colorado, year unknown. We are trying to determine Diana's parents' names, any information about siblings, and the year and location in Colorado of her death.

Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated. We would be happy to share any information we have on the LAWRENCE, SWINDELL and related lines as well.

When Edmund Lawrence & Betsey Bishop married, they had to come back to the Homestead and it took them 2 days to come down. Betsey drove 100 head of pigs right across the Binghamton Courthouse Square. It was necessary to ford two rivers on the way back to the Homestead.
