J. W. Lawrence Home Page

This is a growing genealogy of the Lawrence family of west and southwest Louisiana. Much information has been gathered concerning Francis L. Lawrence who, until recently, was the oldest known ancestor. Now it is known that he moved, for not known reasons, to the wilds of West Louisiana and East Texas. Evidence exists that he came from Lowndes County, Mississippi and was closely related to William Lawrence and Mary Nix Lawrence. Any assistance in positively identifying his ancestry is needed.
