| My family started this research over twenty years ago and since November 2004 I myself have become greatly interested.I have discovered so many interesting details about my family both past and present and this has motivated me to continue. The line of my research has taken me beyond that of my own family name of Lawrence, as I quickly came to realise that each generation adds names, by way of marriage, to this ever growing list.I am discovering for example, both the occupations and the migrations of these familes which I am slowly comparing coincidently to both local and national events.This in turn gives me a great insight into their lives and suddenly people I have never met come to life. Thus I feel a great desire to imortalise on these pages the names of my family that in their own way have contributed to their communities by their occupations, and to their countries by giving service in times of war.
