REIDY family of White Haven PA, Avoca NY and Islip NY, and
McTIGUE family of Islip NY.
All families began to arrive in the US during the 1880's.
We can share some early Ireland info and later NY/NJ info.
Searching for early US information for the SMATH (Smat) family of Ujezd u Chanovice, Bohemia, CZ.
Father Josef SMAT (Smath) died in Europe bef. 1909.
SMATH children Frank, Albert, Rose, Anezka (Agnes) immigrated to U.S. first - to NYC area.
Mother Marie CHERVENY Smath and children Bohumil (Godfrey or Barney), Anna, Josefa (Josephine) and Jan (John) followed to U.S. in 1909. Before 1920, family lived in Mnahattan and Astoria , Queens NY.
Willing to share later information (aft. 1920) about family members on Long Island, NY, and in New Jersey.
Seeking information on family of Joseph CERVENKA and Barbara MYRNACEK.
Eldest son Josef arrived in NY in November 1902.
Widowed father Josef and children Vaclav (William), Marie, Vojtek (aka Albert Serven), and Franz (Frank) arrived in NY in 1906.
Seeking info on other known but unnamed siblings.
Family at 1545 Avenue A, NYC, until c1920. Later in Brooklyn and LI.
Trying to locate history of MARY LAWRENCE (LAURINYECZ, LAURIENC, LAURENC) who left the family to be married c1920 at age 15.
Father Paul LAWRENCE (Laurinyecz), mother Mary Toth.
Family location believed to be Clay or Nicholas Counties WV, also western Penna.
Father engaged by coal mine companies, believed to be orchestra/band leader. Sons also coal miners.
Searching for info on Orchestra and follow-up on other orchestra members.
