Surnames I am researching include: Lawrence; Moorman; Darden; Lavinder; Jordan; Jackson; Haynes; Vaughan; Rea; Pruden; Boyst
These families settled primarily in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, New Jersey, Maryland and South Carolina
I have traced the Lawrence family to Sir Robert Lawrence de Lancaster of England. The only date I can associate with him is the fact that he accompanied Richard I on the Crusades in the year 1191. I have traced the Lavinder (also known as de la Vinder and LaVinder) family to Richard Lavinder of Felmersham in the county of Bedford in early 17th century England, the Jordan family to Samuel "who came to America on the 'Diano'" in 1610, the Haynes family to the mid 1700s in East TN, and the other families to the early 1800s.
I have just recently "gotten into" geneology so most of what I have has been obtained from other family members with much more experience in this area.
I would appreciate any information anyone is willing to share and will make any data/information I have available.
