My family branches consist of LAWRENCE, MOON, SETTLE, BISHOP. The LAWRENCE branch is mainly in Kentucky(1800-present), and Culpepper Co, Virginia (1754-1800).The Moon branch is in Kentucky(1800-present) and before thatsupposedly came from Ireland, through South Carolina. Supposed tobe a connection to Lottie Moon (Missionary), but no linkhas been confirmed. No details found about the SC or Ireland part. The Settle branch is in Kentucky (abt 1800-present), King George County and Fauquier County, Virginia (1700's), and Yorkshire, England (1499-1700's). This line is also linked to theHuffman family. All of which were iron workers. The "oldest" ancestor, John Settle, was born in West Riding, Yorkshire, England about 1499. I found this link on one of the World Family Tree links compiled by another user. I am trying to locate the submitter now.The Bishop branch is in Kentucky(1830-present), Hawkins County,Tennessee (1816-1847), Virginia (1789-1816), Germany(? -1789).I have only been researching these lines for less than a year, but was aided tremendously by others in the family that had takentime to record information on over 600 family members. The Moon line is presently my focus, since I am going to Irelandthis summer. However, information on any of these would be vastlyappreciated and I am willing to share what I have as well.To see the MOON family tree, scroll down to the "Report Section:" and click on "View Report" which is underlined.
