Since 2001, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins have provided me with information about our rather LARGE family. It has been a lot of fun researching and collecting this information and I am happy to share it with all of you.

Unfortunately, there are still so many people not included in the LAZAR FAMILY TREE. Please help me find them. Persons living with Charles Lazar (1872) in 1920 (227 KB) This is page 2 of the Buffalo 1920 census. The first seven names listed are the children of Charles Lazar 1872. Below them are the names of individuals that also lived in the household. I have found the name of the first person from the census database. Unfortunately, the remaining names were not listed. Could this be the brother of Mary Chontos and his wife and children? Mary immigrated to the US in 1897. The man listed immigrated in 1888. Let me know your thoughts. Lazar Headstone (806 KB) Charles and Mary Lazar Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York, Lot 1, Section 16, Line B Charles Ignatius Lazar - 1872 - New York Passenger (402 KB) This is the name as it appears on the New York Passenger List, 1851 – 1891. Ignacz is another spelling for the name Ignatius in Magyar, the language spoke by Charles and Mary according to the 1920 census. The birth year is a match as well as the arrival date.
