Families being researched found on these pages include:

Christensen:
The Christensen line reaches back to Schleswig-Holstein. Information on the ancestry primarily from Danish cousin, Jorn Frost-Knudsen. (See ancestral report for Katherine Leahy.)

Fincannon:
This is my wife's father's line. A book outlining descendants from Konrad Fincannon to the present has recently been placed on this page (14 AUG 2001). Ancestral information primarily derived from Al G. Fincannon's book on the clan.

Foster:
John Foster is the earliest ancestor known in this line. Finding records on the family prior to its arrival in PA has been difficult. (See ancestral report for James Leahy.)

Leahy:
David Leahy, the head of the family that arrived in the USA in 1848, was born in Ireland. His obituary claims he was born in Watergrasshill, County Cork, Ireland, but finding records of his birth or marriage, or of the birth of his first three children, to date, has turned up no records. From the time he reached Pawtucket, RI, the family's movement and growth is fairly well documented. (See ancestral report for James Leahy.)

Lillestrand:
The ancestral and descendant search on the Lillestrand line has been greatly aided by work done by Earl H. Lillestrand and Madeline Gallup. The family of Lars Lillestrand is large. He had three wives, and he sired several children with each of the first two. Two of the children's lines from the first marriage, and one of the children's lines from the second marriage are fairly well-documented. (See ancestral report for Katherine Leahy.)

Mundal (US Spelling: Mundale or Mondale):
The Norwegian line centers on a small farm in the Song district. Brita Mundal and Frederick Vangsnes, along with their children, Ole and Hans, and Fredrik's daughter, Brita, came to the USA in mid 1850s. The line, through Fredrik Vangsnes, traces back to Charlemagne. (See ancestral report for Katherine Leahy.)

O'Brien
Michael O'Brien, the head of the line that came to the US, was born in Ireland. Finding additional information on the line in Ireland has proved difficult. But, with the help of James Granville O'Brien, the growth of the family is well documented. (See ancestral report for James Leahy.)

Schmidt:
The Schmidt line was recently expanded with information from Cousin Dotty Cole. (See ancestral report for Katherine Leahy.)

Spellman:
Morris Spilman--later Maurice Spellman (spelling changed from Spilaine) was an illiterate Irishman said to have come to Maine with his brothers. He moved on to Ohio before reaching north central Wisconsin with his family in the mid to late 1800's. (See ancestral report for James Leahy.)

Trimborn:
Gaspar Trimborn, born before 1776, Geich, Aachen, Prussia, married Gertrude Heidgenn, born before 1780 (same locale); a son Werner Trimborn, born 18 OCT 1802 married Anna Maria Klock, died in 1844; Werner Trimborn then married Anna Catherine Hensler. Werner Trimborn and his family came to the United States about 1847 and settled in the Milwaukee, WI, area. Werner Trimborn and his first wife had three children: August (1832-1895), Helen (1833-1926), and Leonard (1834-1905). (See ancestral report for James Leahy.)
