Much of the SAVAGE (maternal) side of my famiy's history has already been done by the Frances Brent Killey family of Monmouth, Illinois. My chosen path is to gather my paternal family's facts and verbal history into one record. It also provides a means of sharing time with family. My SAVAGE ancestory began in the Carolinas and migrated through Tennessee and Kentucky onto the prairie farm country of Scott County, Illinois. I am the: daughter of Mrs. Idoline Finez SAVAGE LeBlanc (1922-); granddaughter of Mr. Finis Hazel SAVAGE (1887-1953; gr. granddaughter of Mr. Alvin Eaton SAVAGE (1854-1918); gr. gr. granddaughter of Mr. Hazel SAVAGE (1816-1870); gr. gr. gr. granddaughter of John SAVAGE (1787-1857); gr. gr. gr. gr. granddaughter of Levin SAVAGE(ABT. 1750-ABT 1837), Sr.; and gr. gr. gr. gr. gr. granddaughter of Hamilton SAVAGE(ABT. 1700). Whew, what a legacy and that is only on my mother's paternal side. Next the William JACKSON, Jr. famiy of Scott county Illinois. On my mother's maternal side the research on the McLAMARAH's of Ireland and Illinois. And on my father's side the LeBLANCS's of Nova Scotia, Canada. What a wealth of history each of us brings to this great nation of ours. I am willing to share what I have with others and would appreciate any data from others that can be added to my family tree. Happy hunting! |
