The LeBuff Family Home Page
I live on a beautiful barrier island in Southwest Florida with my wife Jean who is a Florida native. We have been married 44 years and have shared somewhat of a unique life together. We have two children and one granddaughter. Now that I'm semi-retired, I've resumed my long-term interest in genealogy. In 1990, I retired following a 32 year career with the Division of Wildlife Refuges in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. My wife and I operate a small commercial sign manufacturing business. I also enjoy writing and I've just finished my third book, an epic historical novel about early South Florida. Publication is scheduled for early 2002. My earlier books are "The Loggerhead Turtle" and "Sanybel Light." My major hobby is replicating Calusa Indian artifacts and weapons and woodcarving. I keep busy most nights collecting and updating data on the following families: The LeBuff family of Newfoundland (pre-1891) and England, the northeastern U. S., and Florida (post-1952); the Mick(s) of West Virginia and Massachusettts; the Pritt(s) of West Virginia; the Duke(s) of Alabama and Georgia (pre-1900); and the Williams' of Georgia and Florida (pre-1910.) |
