A picture of the old Moss Hill School where my grandfather Abel Croom Stroud lived with his second wife Bessie Croom. Bessie Croom was willed the house from her father Joseph R. Croom. There is a story featured in the book "Coast Plain and Fancy". The article is correct however, the picture that is included in the book is not the correct picture. The house should be the one that I have on this page. It is also a picture of the little country store beside the home which my grandfather ran in the 1960's.
