Following info is from Batson Family book written in 1959 and reprinted in 1994(by Vivian Davis Bornemann).

Adellphi Batson was born 31 Aug 1772, in New hanover Co., NC; she married 19 aug 1793, in Burke Co., GA. John Bond, Jr. , born 1770 in NC; her father Thomas Batson signed the Marriage Bond required at the time.

Adellphi left Jones Co., GA about 1810, and joined her husband who was already settled in Amite CO., MS Territory ; this area fell in Marion Co. in 1811 and was soon made into Pike Co.. After a few years residence here, this family moved to Lawrence Co., and their area was soon cut-off into Covington Co..

Adellphi died at the birth of a daughter, Sermantha.
Adellphi was the mother of three children who lived to rear large families in Mississippi, Elisha b. 1796 in GA, Delpha b. 1808 in GA, and Russell b. 1815 In Pike Co., MS, Sermantha died at age 40 , a Spinster.

After Adellphi's death , John Bond Jr., married his wife's sister in-law, Elizabeth (Wayles) Batson, widow of Thomas Batson, Jr.. Elizabeth then middle aged , had only one child born into this marriage, Carral, b. 1824 in Covinngton Co., MS.

Elizabeth died in Perry Co., MS in 1834 at the age of 60 where the family loved from about 1829-1835. She was buried in the Old Bond Graveyard, near Wiggins and Bond, now called Harvinson Cemetery.

After the death of Elizabeth, this "dashing old colonel" fell madly- in-love with a beautifu lady of the Terrell heritage (Sarah Ann), who was half his age; they were wed with one of the largest "Infairs" the county ever heard of, some still declaring that the celebration "lasted three days", withn all the trimmings, such as "run ups", "shivaree", "ride- for- the- bottle", etc.

Sarah Ann ws deeply in love with the colonel, and presented him with three sons in a row, born 1841, 1842, and 1843 (a daughter probably died or married early). Colonel bond was 70 years old when these three children were "shirt-tail-boys".
