      4. Rene2 LeBlanc (Daniel1) was born 1657 in Port Royal, Acadia5, and died January 04, 1733/34 in St. Charles Des Mines. He married Marie Anne Bourgeois 1679 in Port Royal, Acadia, daughter of Jacques Bourgeois and Jeanne Trahan.

In his early twenties (1682), he was one of the early pioneers of a farming community on the St. Antoine
River near Port Royal, which later became Grand Pre'. He was well educated and practiced as a Notary
Public at Grand Pre'. He is mentioned in Longfellow's poem "Evangeline".

He along with his wife and two small children were deported to New York in 1755. Advanced in age and ill, he returned as far as Philadelphia where he lost three other children. He also died nearby.

Antoine settled at St. Charles des Mines, Grand Pre', Acadia, where he died. His father's estate was located on the Riviere Dauphin, now Annapolis River, about 22 miles north of Port Royal, which is now Annapolis. Among the children of Antoine LeBlanc and Marie Bourgeois, seven eventually returned to Canada and possibly four found their way to Louisiana.
