* Steven F. LeBrun's Family History Page*

Updated August 1, 2003

I am researching my family history and can trace my family history back to my 4th great-grandfather, Ambrose LeBrun I. Ambrose lived in France and owned a stone quarry near Versailles.
Ambrose had 14 sons. Thirteen of the brothers fought in Napoleon's Army. Of those thirteen brothers, only one returned. He was one of Napoleon's personal bodyguard. The 14th brother, my 3rd great-grandfather, Ambrose LeBrun II, was too young to join the army with his brothers.

In 1824, Ambrose II, his wife, Mary and their daughter, Josephine, left France in 1824. After living in Martinique, St. Orman and Puerto Rico, they arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 1827. Ambrose and Mary's son, Henry Ambrose, was born in 1825 on the Island of Martinique.

I am interested in any information about my family history.
