Searching for the McGovern ancesrty in Ireland. Need more information on John Joseph McGovern/Mary C Doyle families. John's parents were John or Patrick McGovern,( born circa 1820's)/Catherine Lavel(le) McGovern. Mary's parents were John and Cecelia ?Kane Doyle. Catherine's husband probably died in Ireland but she came to the US to live with John Joseph and Mary in Vermont, somewhere around 1859. John Joseph came to Vermont in 1859 and married Mary the year she arrived in Vermont. 1865.Also looking for Alvah Loomis, married to Eunice Tatro, unsure of location, around 1820 - 1830. Their son, Alfred, settled in Champlain NY and all their children were born there...Ezra, Alvah, Henry, Nellie, Almira. They subsequently moved to St Albans, Vt and lived the est of their lives there.Ellen Charlotte Louise Randall was my grandmother. She was from Liverpool, England, probably born somewhere around 1880's. Moved to Providence/ Bristol RI area, married James McGovern and children were all born there in early 1900's...Edith, Marion, Isabel, John and James. |
