2. HENRY2 LEDFORD, SR. (WILLIAM1) was born 1720, and died July 1755 in Augusta County, Virginia.

Notes for H
Henry Ledford was born 1720, went in 1745 into the Valley of the Roanoke River in August County Virginia latter that section was called Montgomery County Virginia. The valley was called West Fork on the Roanoke. They stayed until 1755 when Henry Ledford along with James Patton was killed in an Indian attack. Henry married before 1745, wifeís name unknown. They had seven children by the time of his death in 1755.

3. WILLIAM L. B.2 LEDFORD, SR. (WILLIAM1) was born Bet. 1722 - 1724, and died June 02, 1796 in Rowan or Davidson, North Carolina. He married ELIZABETH MCCURRY Bet. 1745 - 1746 in Augusta County, Virginia. She was born Bet. 1727 - 1728, and died Aft. October 12, 1810 in Davidson, North Carolina.

He came with his brotherís Henry and John. William married Elizabeth before 1745 in Virginia. William and Elizabeth had twelve Children. Upon leaving Virginia they settled first in Rowan County, North Carolina then on to Randolph County, North Carolina where he left a Will naming his children, some of their spouses and his wife. Buried at Abbott's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Davidson County, North Carolina.

WIlliam Litford, Frederick Litford, John Litford and Nicholas Litford.

1759: Rowan Co., NC Court of Common Pleas: William Ledford, juror; also
1764-2 Jan: William Ledford purchases 330 acres from Walter and
Margaret Thornburgh. The land is on both sides of Abbott's Creek.
1764-Jan: William Ledford is appointed constable. Rowan Co Court of

John Ledford was born 1724. John married Lucy while he was still living in Virginia before 1745. They had nine known children. Although John died without leaving a Will his descendants, hope, we have found all his children. John died in 1799 in Randolph County North Carolina.
