Thomas J. Spiker, 70 years of Midland, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1993 at
MidMichigan Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 1, 1923, son of the late Thomas Otto and Ethel (Nelva)
Spiker in Lakefield.He was employed at Dow Corning Corporation
retiring in 1983 after 25 years of service.He married Betty Blubaugh
May 1, 1948 in Midland.He served in World War II, in Company I, 475th
Infantry Regiment, China-Burma-India theater.He was a member of the
American Legion Berryhill Post No. 165. He was a membber of the First
Baptist Church where he was a past trustee.He was past vice president
of Local 12934, United Steelworkers of America, and past president of
MADCE at Dow Corning.
He also was a volunteer for the Sharing Tree project.He loved working
with stained glass.His greatest joy was to help others.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, David L. Spiker and
friend Barb Luttermoser of Midland, and Michael J. Spiker of Naples,
Florida; one daughter, Kathy M. Feinauer of Auburn, three grandchildren,
Steven M., Kevin J. and Rodney T. Feinauer all of Auburn.He was
predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Leigeb.Funeral services for Thomas
will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1993, at the First Baptist Church.
Dr. Audley Bruce will officiate, with burial to take place at Midland
Memorial Gardens under the auspices of the Midland American Legion
Berryhill Post No. 165.Thomas' family will receive friends at the
Ware-Smith Woolever & Company Funeral Home today from 3 to 8 pm and
Monday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm./Those planning any expression of
sympathy are asked to consider the First Baptist Church or the Food
Pantry.

had gathered on the Spiker family in relation to the McComb genealogy.
At that time, I had little or nothing to share with them.Since then I
