When they were married the minister wrote that Volborg was from Långsjöhöjden, but she was born in Vittjårn in Lekvattnet, likely near Långsjöhöjden. Her parents were Johan Johansson and Marit Matsdotter.

Ole's sister Katrine was a servant girl here in 1762, and another servant girl Maria Johansdatter who could have been a sister to Valborg.
Peder Olsen 1757-1828 took over the farm when the parents died. He was married in 1785 with Maria Pedersdatter 1759-1828 from Hytjanstorpet.
Children: Ole born 1786 was alive in 1801; Peder born 1788, died early; Johan 1790-1791; Anders (see next); Peder born 1794 and probably died before 1801.; Valborg born 1797 was alive in 1801; Johan born 1799 was married 1827 with servant girl Kari Johansdatter Halvortjernsberget (children born here: Peder born 1829; Ole born1831), moved to Baksjøberget near Løvhaugen; Tomas born 1804 was married 1829 with servant girl Kari Olsdatter Rotneberget, moved to Pelsholen (Pelsåsen).
Anders Pedersen 1792-1861 was first a tenant farmer but became an owner when he got the deed of trust in 1824 for 1.001 spd. Anders was married in 1810 with Ingeborg Olsdatter born 1784, died after 1841, from østre Meldalen.
Children: Peder 1811-1813; Marte born 1813 married 1836 with hunter Anders Erik Lukashaugen, moved to Bertola; Ole, see next; Marte 1817-1874 (child Johannes born and died 1835, then married Håken Johansen Halvortjernsberget and Anders born 1852, then married with tailor Guttorm Gunderson from Åsnes); Anne born 1819 married 1844 with Ole Olsen Lønnhaugen, moved to Solliberget near the church lands sæter and woods.; Valborg born 1821 married 1840 with widower Ole Andersen Oppigatden south Løvberget, went to America in 1852; Ingeborg born 1825, see later; Berte born about 1826 married 1850 with Ole Olsen from nearby Storberget (moved to America?) [Ed. note: they emmigrated on the ship Argo in 1867 destined for Blair, Wisconsin]; Anders 1832-1841.
Anders and Ingeborg changed their lives in 1842 when Anders was barely 48 years old. One of the surviving sons took over Øvergarden.
Petter Larsen born 1828 from Halvortjernsberget was married in 1852 with Ingeborg Andersdatter born 1825, sister of Ole Andersen [Note: And brother of Anne Andersdatter, who was mother of Berte Olson Johnson].
Children: Arne born 1853; Lina born 1854; twins Peter 1856-1857 and Johannes 1856-1857; Johanne born 1858; Peter born 1859; Marius born 1862; Hakon born 1864; Marie born 1867.
The farm had the following inventory: One horse, four cows, five sheep, eight goats, and one pig; one tonne barley, one tonne mixed barley and oats, one-half tonne oats and eight tonner potatoes. [Note: one tonne equals barrels or casks holding about four bushels].
Petter Larsen did not farm long. In 1867 he emigrated to America with his wife and all his children. Petter was farmer in Blair, Wisconsin. [Note: Emigration records show Petter Larsen and family leaving in April 1867].
In the census of 1865 we find an owner family in Rotneberget which had been difficult to maintain. A brother of Petter Larsen farmed a part of the farm. It is possible that each farmed his own part of Øvergarden, but that Petter was the owner of it all together.
