We will not forget what a GREAT LEE "FAMILY REUNION"
we had in STARKE, FLORIDA DECEMBER 2, 2001.
It was very successful, and EVERYONE had a fine
time. Over 80 people attended this reunion.
We thank our HOSTS for all of their work & effort.
We also thank our LORD above for our Lee family.

PLEASE NOTICE in the Photos Section that I have added
a picture of our "Granny Lee". There are very few of us
now that knew Granny Lee personally. She was a fine, hard working woman, and we all loved her dearly.

Our Great-grandfather was GEORGE WASHINGTON LEE of
Putmun County, Florida. He was born about 1837. I
have been told that he is buried in the Kingsley Lake
Cemetery in north Florida.

The first that we have record of Our Lee Family they
are living in Putnam County, Florida. Later most of them
seem to be centered in, and around STARKE, FLORIDA in
Bradford County. There are many of this Lee family that
still live near Starke, but others of them are scattered
all around the country.
This is my first atempt to record all of the members of
this family. My wife is Eunice Jeanette Lee, (before I
married her).
I am asking all of you that are part of this family to
HELP ME OUT. Send me your immediate family's record
(births, marriages, deaths & etc.}, also locations of these events. Then I will compile them all together, and when completed we will all have a good record of our LEE FAMILY.

Recently I have heard from Marcy Lee Bryant. She is a great-granddaughter of Rev. Richard L. Lee (desceased), of Starke.
From her we hope to receive a UP-DATE of "Uncle" Richard's
descendants. She is quite knowledgeable of much of our LEE FAMILY.

PLEASE NOTE that even at this young age, his given name was GENERAL. He was named this at birth, because his father wanted his son named after him, but did not want him to be named JUNIOR.
