Adam Bauer is believed to be a cousin to Jan Bauer (son of Jan Bauer and Elzbieta Hytrow). When Adam Bauer entered the US, he reported that he was going to his cousin, Franz Bauer, in Philadelphia.

The information on Franz Bauer corresponds to the information given by Regina (Bauer) Tecza. She said that Adam had a cousin Frank Bauer who worked as a butcher in Cleveland, Ohio in the late 1950's. Frank never married.

Also, according to Regina and her brother Zdzislaw, Adam had a brother Frank Bauer who lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
