The book on this home page, "Ancestral Stories: Barton, Church, Dana, Doolittle, Dower, Ewing,
French, Keith, Spates, Willis", is a revision of an earlier book. For many years I have been
gathering and sharing family history information, largely for the interest and enjoyment of friends
and family. In doing so, I became more fascinated with the many stories which helped me see my
ancestors as much more than dates and places of their births, marriages, and deaths. In the first
ten chapters of this book, I have tried to share some of those stories together with some historical
and context information. The final chapter includes stories about some of my ancestors who
connected in various ways to some of my ancestors of my wife, Margie (Grove) Lehmann.
Surnames in this chapter include Eliot, May, Bridge, Brewer, Rudd, Strickland, Keith, Perkins,
and Leonard.

Sources are usually included as end notes. Some of these are more reliable than others. All
sources are included. I have not others. I do request that all readers use source information as
leads and clues and I urge them to check all references personally rather than just cutting and
pasting.

One NGS reports is attached, providing more details about the ancestors, descendants, and
other relatives of Reverend James Ewing.

I welcome additions and corrections and I especially welcome the opportunity to connect with
new cousins, however distant.
