The "LEIGHS" of Dartmouth Devon

The LEIGH'S are of a seafaring stock, from within the Counties of Devon & Cornwall. My Great Grandfather Willian Edward also served as a Coastguard with some of his service taking him to Cork,in Ireland, in the 1880s.

My Grandfather William Thomas was born in Antony in Cornwall in 1881 and ran away to sea. He served on the "Againcourt" a wooden three masted training ship and later on the "Carnarvon" in World War One.
He married Minnie Fisher a Dartmouth girl in 1907,and was attached to the Britannia Royal Naval College until his retirment.

I am willing to share any information that I have, and would love to hear from anyone with like connections to the Coastguard or records, that may assist in my research.
