The Ancestors of Charles W. Leighton

The Ancestors of Charles W. Leighton came from the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains of western Virginia. They resided at one time or the other in the counties of Albemarle, Alleghany, Augusta, Bedford, Botetourt and Rockbridge.The Kirbys and Harlows were from Albemarle County until my Great-Great Grandfather, Walter Anderson Kirby and his mother Martha Ellen Harlow migrated to Rockbridge Co.
