He married MARY EDMONDSON 7 September 1892 in Wesleyan Chapel Barrow in Furness (Certificate), daughter of JOSEPH EDMONDSON.

She married JOHN LEIGH 9 March 1904 in St Michael's Church Rampside Lancashire (Certificate), son of JOHN LEIGH and ELIZABETH MARSH.
