Joseph Lejeune (Young) was born 1756 in Pisiquit, Acadia1, and died 14 Oct 1847 in St Landry Parish, La.

Owned over 20 slaves and had become a prosperous plantyer and cattleman. There were two long Donations Reorded, one by Joseph at his death, and one a short time later, Sept 20, 1821 by his deceased wife's estate detailing their property and conveyances to the eleven of their children who had reached maturity.
