OLE J. AADAL (son of JOSIAS ADAL and MERIT MARKUS-DATH), b. 1847 in Skogn, Trondheim, Norway. He married MALI FLOR, (dau. of OLA P. FLOR and OLENA CHRISTINA ???). She was b. 1842 in Stordal, Trondheim, Norway. Ole emigrated to Minnesota in 1865, moving to Ramsey Co., ND after 1883. Ole and Mali Aadal had 8 children; Mary, Lena, Gertrude, Joseph Adahl, Petrena, Johanna, Sophia, and Olive.
GEORGE H. BROWN, b. Feb. 26, 1826 in Otterdam, NY. His parents were LEWIS BROWN and ELIZA R. VANBUREN. He married CORNELIA TRUMBLE (see below). They lived in Oshkosh, WI where he as a carpenter and joiner. He died in 1884 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery.
JEREMIAH R. DAVIS of Rensselaer, NY, b. 1802 and d.1898. He married MERCY DAVIS who was a descendant of the Elder WILLIAM DAVIS. They lived in Milton, WI where she died in 1874. They had (10) children; Joseph, Miriam, Jeremiah, Pardon, Lavinia, Joshua, Julius, Susan, Sarah and William.
DAVID RANSIER (son of Henry and Sarah) b. 1835, married MARILDA RILEY (daughter of Enoch Riley and Mary PEARSE) b. 1838 in OH. They lived in Jackson Co., KS where they had (8) children; Temperance J., Henry Harrison, William, John Matthew, Alexander, Albert Morris, Flora D. and Cora B. (twins).
JOHN EDWARD READ, b. January 14, 1852 in Cincinnati, OH. His parents were JOHN READ and ELIZABETH ELLIOTT, both born in England. He was married 1st to ELSIE BROWN (dau. of George BROWN and Cornelia TRUMBLE), b. 1858, WI. They were married c. 1880 in WI and had three children (all born in WI) before moving to Linn Co., OR sometime after 1889. Children's names were; FLORENCE, HENRY JOHN and ELSIE. He married 2nd, his cousin MARY STALEY, (dau. of STEPHEN STALEY and EMMA ELLIOT), b. July 21, 1857 in Omro, WI. In 1942, John and Mary Read died three months apart at St. Mary's Hospital in Oshkosh, WI.
CORNELIA (TRUMBLE) BROWN, 1833-1905. Born in NY, she lived in Oshkosh, WI with her husband, GEORGE H. BROWN. They married bef. 1852 and had 6 children; Joel Sidney Brown b. 1852, Elsie Brown b. 1858, Eva Brown b. c. 1866, and 3 unknown. Cornelia's father was born in NY and her mother in CT. Cornelia was living with her daughter Elsie in Linn Co., OR when she died in 1905.
ANTON C. SCHROETER (son of August and Marie THIME), b. Jan 23, 1852 in Berlin, Germany and d. Nov 26, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH. He was married to SALLIE GARRISON BEACH (dau. of Napolean William BEACH and Malinda WOODWORTH) and had (3) children; William, Carl, and Garrison. He was a jeweler and engraver, and painted landscapes.
Family story says that he had a first wife and a son who servied in the Spanish-American War, and was in the Phillipines. Also that he had a brother who went to Savannah before the Civil War.
MATTHEW C. VRANIZAN (son of James VRANIZAN and Margaret VRANCOVICH), b. 1863 in Cittavecchia, Lessina, Dalmatia; aka. StariGrad, Hvar, Austria -- currently Croatia. Matthew emigrated to Portland, OR in 1879 and later married Lucy MILASICH (dau. of JAN MILLASSICH & BENTA LJIUBICH). She was b. 1875 in Cittavecchia, Lessina, Dalamtia.
ADAMUS MATTHIAS WILHELM married Regina WEBER on February 14, 1815 in Oppenheim, Germany. Their son, Adam Martin WILHELM, b. May 2, 1817 in Oppenheim, Germany, and d. January 16, 1897 in Monroe, Benton Co., OR married Agnes (Agustas) FAUST, b. May 31, 1822 and d. October 16, 1894. They lived c. 1850-1872 in Manitowoc Co., WI before moving to Benton Co., OR.
