David Hattaway of Washington and Greene Co., Georgia

Power of Attorney.
Greene County, Georgia. Know all men by these presents that I, David Hattaway, of the county and state aforesaid over good causes and considerations may heavenly moving have made named appointed and by these presents do make ordain and appoint Lemuel Wilkerson of the aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name and for own proper use and benefit to take out the plat and grant of a certain tract of land situated and lying in the county of Campbell formerly Coweta number 134 and in the eighth district originally. Also to ---(illegible) and dispose of said tract of land or to do whatever else as my said attorney may think proper concerning said tract of land for me in my name to make conveyance of said tract of land and to do all lawful acts and things whatsoever concerning the premises as --- and no way respect as I might or could do now. I personally present at the doing thou of ratifying and confirming by this present allowing whatsoever my said attorney shall do lawfully for me in my name or cause to be done in and about the premises by the presents. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this December the 17th eighteen hundred and ---(illegible)

Campbell County, Georgia. This indenture made and --- into by and between --- Easley sheriff of the one part and Lemuel Wilkerson of the other part both of the county first above on the --- Tuesday in March last. Witnesseth that where virtue of an execution issued from a Justices Court--- issued from Washington County in favor of James Jordan vs. David Hattaway and Asa Jordan. Which execution has been legally issued on lot of land --- one hundred and thirty four in the eighth district of Coweta but now Campbell County which was --- sale on the first Tuesday in March in the year 1830 when Lemuel Wilkerson became the purchaser of the above named land at the price of twelve dollars, it being the highest sum that could be obtained for said land now in obedience to the statute in such --- made and provided I have this day bargained sold aforesaid unto the aforesaid Lemuel his heirs and assigns all that lot of land above named with all of the appurtenances thereunto annexed to the said Lemuel to have and to hold premises together with all and singular the rights --- appurtenances thereunto beloning fairly to these and them for and do therof warrant and assend the said premises to said Lemuel so far as the office of sheriff authorizes and no further from this just and lawful claim of David Hattaway or any other person or persons. Claiming --- though the said David Hattaway.
In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of June 1830.

WILL OF LEVI HATTAWAY

Georgia, Morgan County. I, Levi Hattaway, being of sound mind but weak in body, make this my last will and testament.
First, My wish is that my present wife pay and ___ (illegible) to my daughter, Eliza Hattaway, one bed and furniture, also one cow and calf, and also to have ten dollars in money to be paid by my wife.
Second. I wish my son, Thomas Hattaway, to have ten dollars in money to be paid out of my estate.
Third. I wish that all the rest of my property to be kept together after paying my just debts for the benefit of my wife and the rest of my children, as long as my wife shall live, and at her death to be disposed of as she wishes or pleases. And I further appoint Isabella Hattaway, my wife, my lawful executor to carry this, my will, into effect.
