Deeds, Records, and Mortgages Book "V", page 495.

State of Georgia, Campbell County. This indenture, made this 31st day of October in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ One thousand Nine Hundred and Eighteeen between W. A. Tealof the state of Georgia and county of Campbell, of the first part, and Emanuel Hattaway of the state of Georgia and county of Campbell, of the second part.
Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred fifty and no xx/100 ($450.00) dollars, in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of the presents, does grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land as follows: thirty seven and one half (37 1/2) acres of land more or less in the south west corner of lot of land number eighteen in the seventh district of originally Coweta, now Campbell County, Georgia, said thirty seven and one half acres in the south west corner being divided from the lands owned by T. T. TReal in the south east corner of said lot by Pea Creek. Bounded as follows: on the north by lands of W. A. Teal, on the east by E. Hattaway, on the south by Mrs. Pop Teal and on the west by Mrs. Pop Teal.

To have and to hold, the said bargained premises, together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof, to the same being, belonging, or in anywise appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit, and behoof of him the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, in fee-simple. And the said party of the first prt, for his heirs, executors, and administrators, will warrant and forever defend the right and title to the above described property unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
In witness whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and yaer above written.

Notes: T. T. Teal was Theron Tabiris Teal, Mrs. Pop Teal is probably Mary Hattaway Teal, but perhaps not since she was deceased at this time.
W. A. Teal, unknown relation, was born in Oct. 1850 and died in 1918. He is buried at Friendship Baptist Church, as was Emanuel. 1860 Census records for Campbell County, GA show a William Teal of W. A. Teal's approximate age in the household of John Redding Teal and his wife, Mahala Hightower. John Redding Teal was the son of George Washington Teal.
