Most of the early Cochran history known to us comes from a very meticulous diary Henry kept in his later years. He was the youngest son of George W. Cochran & Mary (Weed) Gray Cochran. Henry married first to Matilda Owens, then after her death to Arabella (Dailey) Freeman.
