Notes for WILLIAM PAINE:
William Paine kept a diary of his trip on the "Caranjah" on her voyage from London to Hobart Town in 1873. The voyage took 90 days, they boarded at Gravesend on 10/03/1873 and stayed on board until the ship departed on 16/03/1873. The ship anchored at Deal, until the pilot took the ship out into the English Channel on March 17th., the pilot was put ashore off the Isle of Wight.
