Research began in 1987 when a shoebox full of pictures and documents was found in Lena Maria Doll Kinat's China cabinet after her passing. The box conatined pictures of her aunts and uncles located in Sand, Germany in 1910, her father's, Fred Doll, and husband's, Louis A. Kinat, naturalization papers. Letters from relatives from Germany and her Grandfather's, Fredrich Doll III, last will and testament (written in old German). Also, there were insurance papers from 1905 defining the coverage for her father's bakery business. |
