I am researching the family of Jean-Baptiste LeRiche who arrived in Quebec, Canada about 1668. He settled in Montreal, Canada and married on August 25, 1701. He was, according to Druin, a military surgeon. Also in the LeRiche family tree are two soldiers from the elite military unit called the Carignan Regiment (Etienne Charles and Andre Poutre)who married, in 1667, two "filles du roi" or daughters of King Louis XIV (Madeleine Niel and Jeanne Burel, both of Normandy, France). |
