The small Hessian village of Oberaula was the home of the Wallach family from the end of the 16th century and until the Holocaust. Generations of Wallachs, mostly cattle dealers, lived here until forced to move on. Today the Wallachs live in Israel, the US, Great Britain, Europe and South America. This photo shows the "Judenhof" - the Jewish street where many of our family lived.
