| As the only child of parents who were both widowed with families of their own, I seemed to be in a unique position of being related by blood and/or marriage to quite a few clans; all of whom had an influence on my life. I hoped to follow some of these ancestoral lines (Lewis, Pearce, Williams, Mills, Bolin, Shean, Watson), including those of my wife (Geenty, Gumbrell), to discover the background of our heritage and some of the people with whom I grew up (and probably didn't fully appreciate) and those I heard about but didn't get to meet. These clans cover a fair amount of geographic area including Great Britain, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and America. However, my side of the tree during the past 100 years have been predominately in the northern Victoria - southern New South Wales area of Australia, whilst my wife's have been in the North Island of New Zealand and south England. If you can assist in providing any information it would be greatly appreciated. I also hope that the information I have already retrieved may be of benefit to other genealogists who have links with my clan(s). |
