Burnis Leslie Baker, 66 of Rt. 2 Sumner died at Richland Memorial Hospital Saturday morning.
He was born April 13, 190 in Lawrence County to James E. Baker and Ella May Richey Baker.He was a farmer and a member of the Prairieton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dessis Westall Baker;a daughter, Mrs. Marcelly Young of Rt. 2, Sumner; two sons, Raleigh and Ralph Baker both of Rt. 2, Sumner; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.A daughter Maxine, and a brother Verner, preceded him in death.
Also surviving are a brother and a sister, Elbie Baker of Rt. 2 Sumner and Mrs. Emma Jane Flinspach of Mason City, Ill.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner with the Rev Wayne Arganbright assisted by Rev. Forrest Crouch officiating.Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
