Notes for Edward Lacy: Info about Edward Lacy and his family was taken from THE LACY FAMILY OF FAIRFIELD, CT comp by Philip S. Lacy, 1733 (LDS film #1036670)
From the book listed above: "Edward Lacy was a farmer. He appears on the Stratfield Parish Records 30 Dec 1775 when Stephen Fairchild, Richard Hall and Edward Lacy Jr were chosen for the school committee. In 1757, he, with Deacon William Bennett and others joined the "North Company" in the settlement of North Fairchild, now the town of Easton, which company seems to have been under the jurisdiction of the Stratfield Parish for years. In 1761, Edward was chosen by Stratfield Parish, Collector of Ministerial Society and School Rates within the limits of the North Company, and receipts for money paid by him to Rev Robert Ross and also from Rev. Joseph Lapson of the Church of England appear on the Parish records. It is said that the early religious meetings of the place were held at his house. (Hist. of Stratford, pg 545)
Records of Edward's Estate were found in North Fairfield (Easton). Administration of the Estate was granted 7 July 1772 to Samuel, his oldest son and Deborah, his second wife.
