James Robert MOONEYHAM Family

Updated February 3, 2004

I am researching the family of James Robert MOONEYHAM. He was the son of Shadrack and Margaret HASTON MOONEYHAM. He was born July 1, 1845 in Van Buren Co., TN, and died April 27, 1896 in Tecumseh, Pottawatomie Co., OK. He married Susan NARD(NORROD/NORRED) on September 12, 1869 in Boone Co., AR. They had 7 children: Thomas, Wiley Elexand, Lula Bell, Henry Monroe, Georgia Ann, Toney May, and Charley Andrew.

In addition, I am researching Susan NARD who was born June 22, 1850 in Obion, Obion Co., TN and died March 23, 1892 in Tecumseh, Pottawatomie Co., OK. She was the daughter of Basil NORROD and Elizabeth REED/REID. Any information on these folks would be most appreciated.

My lines goes from James Robert MOONEYHAM>Shadrack MOONEYHAM> Daniel MOONEYHAM>James Shadrack MOONEYHAM, Sr.>Thomas MOONEYHAM> James MONEHAM.

I am also searching for my 6th great-grandfather, James MONEHAM/ MOONYHAM, b. ca. 1680 in either Virginia or Ireland. He migrated with his wife, Agnes "Unknown" from Isle of Wight Co., VA to Bertie Co., NC in the early 1700's. James was granted land on a Virginia Patent which was located in Bertie Co., NC. They had two sons, Thomas and Henry MOONEYHAM, and one daughter, Judea (Gudea) MOONEYHAM, all born 1725-1730. I am looking for Agnes's last name and any other information that on these folks.

Any information on any part of this family would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I may have.
