He married (1) JANE HAMMER 1709 in Wales, Great Britain. She was born 1689 in Wales, Great Britain, and died 1742 in German Twsp., Cresheim, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married (2) JANE ANDREWS October 11, 1744. She died Unknown.

Notes for AARON (JOHANNES) HAMMER:
There is some confusion about the parents of Abraham Hammer. All three family trees I have found show similar information back to Abraham Hammer. I feel these accounts describe the same family researched by three, or more, different individuals. I can't explain the different information in these three accounts for the parents of Abraham Hammer. Two of the three accounts list the parents as Johannes and Jane Hammer but they have different surnames for Jane. Until I find additional evidence I am assumming the parents to be Johannes and Jane Hammer.

In the book "This Emigrating Company - The 1844 Oregon Trail Journal of Jacob Hammer" author Thomas Rumer indicates the ancestors of Jacob Hammer as the son of Jonathan Hammer who is the son of Isaac Hammer and Lydia Mendenhall and Isaac as the son of Abraham Hammer and Rachel Meeting. Abraham is listed as the son of James and Margaret Hammer of Pennsylvania.

The family history of Susanna Hammer and Charles Garrett Janeway, Internet family tree #10307, show the parents of Abraham Hammer to be Aaron (Johannes) Hammer, born in Silesia, Germany in 1683.

The family history of John Hammer and Nancy York, Internet family tree #6192, show his parents to be Abraham and Rachel Hammer and Abraham's parents to be John (Johannes) of Palatinate, Germany and Mrs. Jane Hammer of Wales, Great Britain.
