Descendants of Lazar Perlman & Fredricka Gordon

This page contains genealogical information about the family descended from Lazar Perlman (1835-1920) and Fredricka Gordon (1847-1931), originally from Hasenpoth (now Aizpute), Libau (now Liepaja), and Mitau (now Jelgava), Latvia, in the section known historically as "Kurland" (or "Courland"), now "Kurzeme." Open the "InterneTree" and right-click and select "Find" to pick Lazar Bentzion Perlman (or anyone else, for that matter) as the primary individual. If you pick Lazar, then the entire Perlman tree will be available for viewing. If you double-click on someone, his/her data and picture (if available) will appear. (Information on living individuals is not included for reasons of privacy.)

[We have also included the Miller Family -- the descendants of Jacob (Yerucham Yitzhak) Miller, the father of Ida and Sadie (who married the Perlman brothers Nathan and Raphael). Even though only some of them are "true" Perlmans, they were all part of Perlman Family Circle gatherings and can also be found (with pictures) on the InterneTree and Index of Individuals.]

As you can see from the information included, our genealogy, however extensive, remains incomplete. Additional details and photographs are needed. Please send any information and photos to Jerry Liebowitz at the address below.

For many years the Perlman Family Circle and Cousins Club met regularly in the New York metropolitan area at the homes of various cousins, the grandchildren of Fredricka and Lazar, and special venues (including Tibbets Brook in the Bronx). Now we, the great-grandchildren, have reunited the Perlman Cousins Club and held our first through seventh Reunions at the homes of Bonnie Franks (nee Haft) on June 8, 2002, June 8, 2003, June 5, 2004, and June 3, 2007; and Jerry Liebowitz on July 23, 2005 and July 12, 2009; and Linda Liebowitz Rosen on June 4, 2006. Photographs from the Reunions can be seen below, under "Family Photos". (There was no Reunion in 2008 and only a small "get-together" in 2009.)
