I am researching the Lightfoot family from the Yafforth and Thrintoft areas of North Yorkshire, England. John Lightfoot and his wife Fanny (nee Langthorne) lived at Moor House Farm, Thrintoft and had five children, Robert, Mary Elizabeth, Jane Ann, John William and Henry. My grandfather, Henry, married Edith Emily Britton from Yafforth in 1908. Their children were Annie Dorothea, Robert Arthur, Sarah, John Edward and Frederick James.

John Lightfoot's cousin, William Lightfoot and wife (Jane Holliday) emigrated to Spokane, Washington, in the 1880s, with their children Alfred, Robert, Arthur, Albert, John, Walter and Frederick.

I would love to hear from anybody with further information about any of the above.
