Debi Lightfoot (Leichtfuss) Family Home Page

I am trying to research my family name "LEICHTFUSS" (original name from Germany) and "LIGHTFOOT". My family seems to have its main roots in Wisconsin. I've located family as far back as approximately 1900. This is from census records that I spent a few hours at an office in Denver. My main problem is that Wisconsin doesn't seem to have very complete records and my living family isn't much help. I'm also trying to locate information regarding the name of "KRIEFALL", which is my grandmother's maiden name (also seeming to be based in Wisconsin). The first record I found for my great-grandmother was in the 1900 census records showing she lived in Shawano, Wisconsin and apparently was divorced or widowed by the 1910 census because apparently she had moved from Shawano.
Also, I am working on researching information from my mother's side of the family. With this I am having a different problem. My mother's maiden name is "MARTIN" and she is from Ohio. Talk about a common name. I did manage to get as far back as 1908 for a Robert E. Martin. That was due to finding a lost relative (which was very exciting) who was also doing this.
