| I am researching for the Liggins & Lockhart Family. Which may have started in Tennessee and Mississippi and move to Texas in the late 1800's. It started with Ephraim and Mary Jane Liggins from Tennesse who married in 1870 and had several children. Amongest those children they had a son Matthew and a daughter named Ethie. Matthew and Ethie married a brother and sister. Matthew Liggins who married Dissie Nunley and Ethie Liggins who married Tom Lockhart. Dissie and Tom were half brothers and sisters. They had the same Mother Jeanette Carson, but different fathers who were Charlie Nunley and Rufus Lockhart. So this is how we became the Liggins & the Lockharts. Other surnames that are being searched is Dennis and Carsons. |
