4 October 1771, Levin bought 162 acres. The White Point Pone, Orangeburg District, South Carolina.
3 December 1771 Levin bought 150 acres, Edisto River, Orangeburg District, South Carolina.
1781 Levin was appointed Lt. of Horses in Couth Carolina Militia.
1789 Levin was appointed Adim. of James' will (his brother) and to hold property belonging to the minor children for seven years along with Joseph (brother of the deceased, James). It appears that the minor children move and live with Levin as per the 1790 Census.

From the Biographical Directory of the South Carolina House of Representives.
The District Between Savannah River and the North Fork of the Edisto River elected Levin Collins to the Eight General Assembly (1791) by the newly created election district of Winton. Other offices that he held were Militia Leiutenant (1781) and commisioner for a road from Sykes Creek to Orangeburg-Nintey Six District line (1788).Levin Collins had moved to Richmond County, Georgia by 1801 and died by 26 November 1801 when his heirs sold his property.

Property of Levin Collins was sold 26 November 1807 following his death. Purchasers at the sale were: James Collins, Moses Collins, Lewis Collins and Sarah Collins.

On 28 Dec. 1813, Benjamin Wright, William Matthews, Lewis Collins, Elijah Johnson, John Way and Anthony Cheatham, sold a lot to Bird Martin in Augusta, Georgia (at Jackson and Telfair Streets), acting as heirs and representives of Levin Collins, deceased, of Richmond County, Georgia. Their wives also signed: Catherine Wright, Catherine Matthews, Martha Collins, Sarah Johnson, Elizabeth Way, and Mary Cheatham.

He married HANNAH WILLIS August 06, 1774, daughter of WILLIAM WILLIS and SUSANNAH TONEY. She was born December 10, 1754, and died 1833 in Hinds County, Mississippi.
